Eventum Premo offers services for organizing team building events -team building (eng. teambuilding, literally - team building).
This special type of event can be divided into two types, differing in their objectives:
- Activities aimed at team building
- Activities aimed at identifying and revealing the individual qualities and capabilities of each team member.
Team building is a fairly well-established genre of events; there are literally four types of scenarios, which account for almost 90% of the events held.
Types of team building
- Variousmodifications of competitions such as the Olympic Games and Spartakiads.
Involves competition between teams or individual participants. Non-Olympic sports are also possible, such as sumo wrestling, tug of war, soap football. With some stretches, this also includes intellectual competitions like “What? Where? When?". - Various modificationssurvival courses, for example, “Rope Course”.
The program includes walking on a log, crossing an obstacle, and running over rough terrain. The main idea is that only by joining forces can you pass all the tests. - Various types of treasure hunting, various “secret” codes or a competition in the form of a fight for treasure, such as “Fort Bayard” or Encounter.
Quest games are organized, the goal of which is to find or collect something. - Collaborative creativity, such as “City of Masters”.
During such events, participants make pots, weave, weave baskets, paint, etc.
Such events usually take place in the fresh air using sports or, as it were, sports, joke equipment and devices. The presenters are instructors and animators.
By the way, before asking participants to complete some tasks, the organizers should try to perform at least some actions themselves and evaluate the degree of effort required to achieve the goal. Completing tasks should not require special training.
However, these four scenario options do not exhaust all forms of team building activities. Possible other types.
Unusual types of team building
- Joint music playing, acapella singing
For success, you will definitely need an instructor who will explain the rhythmic sequence, distribute responsibilities - who should do what, in what sequence, and help create music out of the cacophony. To do this, you need only the most accessible instruments, for example, drums of various types and sizes, harmonicas. It is important that employees do not compete with each other, but perform common actions - everyone contributes to the creation of a common result. You can involve all employees, without dividing them into the strongest and weakest. It’s just a thrill when the whole company sings “Shiribiribadze, Tumbashvili...” - Cooperative learning
- Experience of joint learning something - a foreign language, professional skills or something else - always brings people closer together. You won't be able to learn Spanish during the event, but you can start. A neutral topic not related to work can be chosen as a topic for training, for example, psychology, drawing, ikebana, driving training. The form of such training could be a master class with an invited “star” guest. Properly conducted training will benefit both the company and employees.
- Planting trees (park), cleaning the area or other community work
Surely everyone remembers the Soviet practice of general subbotnik. Everyone, regardless of status or position, came out to work to make the world around them a little better. Cleaning some area, preferably not in the office, not near the office, but somewhere outside is an excellent unifying action. People will immediately feel that there is much more meaning in spending such a day than in searching for a non-existent treasure. You just need to make it fun - and this is the task of the organizers. - Shadow-day
This is not really an event, but it is an interesting form of team building. We hope that HR specialists are reading us, and we decided to talk about it. The point is that on a certain day, a “shadow” is attached to a company employee, for example, a manager - another employee from another department (or a student intern). During the day, the “shadow” constantly follows its leader, monitors the usual everyday affairs of its colleague, immersing itself in his life. Thanks to this, a much better understanding is achieved that the company is a huge living machine, where everyone is busy with their own business, but, nevertheless, everyone moves the company forward together. Shadow-day is an alternative to expensive and not always effective rotation. - Movie marathon
Participants are given the necessary equipment, and within a limited time they must make a film on a given topic.
We will be happy to meet and talk about our projects in detail, with videos and photo reports. We are sure that we can share several ideas for your company's events.
