On May 12-14, a meeting of the Business Advisory Council (BAC) of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum was held.
We worked through the scenario, collected information, calculated emergency situations and tested the performance of all systems. In general, everything was the same as when preparing any event, but much more responsible, because The participants were high-ranking business representatives from 21 countries in the Pacific region, such as General Motors Corporation, ICBC, Toyota Motor Corporation...
We were responsible for the quality of work simultaneously to 3 largest companies in Russia: Basic Element, OJSC VTB Bank and OJSC Gazprom.
We held many events - it was a truly exciting moment when, in a single impulse, the whole hall thanked us for the work we had done with applause!
Historical background: on May 12-14, Moscow hosted the second meeting of this year’s Business Advisory Council (BAC) of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) countries.
The event was held at a high level with the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Basic Element company Oleg Deripaska, Head of the Foreign Relations Department of Gazprom Sergei Balashov and Chairman of the Board of VTB Andrei Kostin.
At the ABAC meeting in Moscow, issues were discussed about further facilitating the conditions for doing business in the region, improving financial mechanisms, the possibility of achieving progress during the Doha round of negotiations within the WTO, energy security and climate change, the development of small and medium-sized businesses, social responsibility of the business community, labor migration in the region, as well as the global food crisis.
