Viennese strudel and German pickup

The first associations that come to mind about Austria are the Viennese waltz and Viennese strudel, and about Germany – German quality and German cars. At least, among the employees of Eventum Premo, who are familiar first-hand with “folk” German cars. And another association that will soon arise (and not only here) when mentioning Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is the German pick-up. After all, it was this brand that first presented a serial European pickup truck with the strong and proud name Amarok.

At the end of June, the PR department of Eventum Premo organized a press tour for a team of leading Russian automotive journalists to the Old World, to the European premiere and test drive of Amarok pickups. The test drive began immediately upon the arrival of the Russian team at Vienna airport - or rather, the road part of it. In the rays of the morning sun, through the well-groomed Austrian lands, a pack of “wolves” (as “Amarok” is translated from the language of the Inuit Indians) rushed to the capital of Slovakia - Bratislava, towards off-road tests. The off-road track pleased absolutely every journalist with its “non-toy” quality: mud baths, fords 50 cm deep, when you are in the water to the very bottom, 100% descents and ascents, breathtaking traverses and dusty rocky paths - the journalists received no less pleasure from all this than the Amaroks. Let us say without shame that everything here went off without a hitch.

And in the evening of the same day, journalists received comprehensive information about the pickup truck from specialists of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand. And now, based on fresh impressions, we can confidently say that the organization of Russian participation in the European presentation of Amarok took place in accordance with high German quality standards.
