Do athletes dislike each other? If their competition was fair, then getting to the start is a moment of truth for them, a test of whose character is stronger, whose methodology is more successful, whose talent turned out to be brighter at this distance. And victory is perceived by all athletes with respect, with the understanding that behind this victory lies a lot of work. Is friendship possible between athletes? Certainly!
Hostility and hatred arise only when there is falsehood. When they reward not the most worthy, but the most unprincipled. When the rules are broken, when doping is used, when the judges play tricks. Then any person who has wasted his energy and talents is indignant at the unfair game.
It's the same in business. And in the event business where I work, the atmosphere is the same. Hostility arises only when deception occurs, when hopes are destroyed. If the competition is fair, as in sports, everything is different. Competitors may well sit at the same table, shake hands and smile sincerely, remember old stories. As athletes, we respect each other's victories when they are fair. We admire and recognize each other's talents. The “tender” is like a “start” for us, the excitement of competition between systems, like the constructors’ championship at Formula 1. And I really don’t want to change this atmosphere by thinking about unfair tenders.
