There are more and more conferences about events (albeit without personal meetings, but on Zoom, etc.).
And we can already make some observations.
Previously, we were invited to conferences in advance, we prepared slides, rehearsed the speech for 20-30 minutes. Well, or at least 15. And conferences often had a fee.
What's happening now.
- Now, we perform without slides and rehearsals. Technical run only.
- Now there is even less time to perform
- Now, announcing an event a week or 3 days in advance has become the norm.
- Now, the final decision to participate is made at the very last moment.
- Now people leave the conference instantly, without lingering in the wardrobe.
- Now there is no charge for participation. Conferences have become free for both speakers and participants.
- Now there are so many more event conferences. They have become much shorter. There are about the same number of spectators. The speakers are the same.
And one more thing.
- Nowadays there are no canapés and fresh rolls at conferences. I don’t cook them for myself.
- Now there are no waiters at the conference and we wash our own coffee cups.
- Now there are no chance meetings with old acquaintances.
