Less cynicism

Event management business is rather cynical thing. We often talk about the high, the objectives and company values, culture, great people and achievements, but for us it's work and routine. Every day I hear about the high values of visionary companies, therefore, begin to treat it ... quietly. If not skeptical. And the managers of the client, too, so often talk about their high values, that too tired and losing faith, continue to observe the ritual. For example, to establish fair democratic competition where the management and staff, all together ... Wow! But the suits quietly manager and requested that won for "its one table, where important people are". Or a lottery. Or something else. And what to do there? Quarrel with the manager and his boss? Deceive people who believe that competition is fairy play? I'm not Batman, I can not fix the big world.

The more surprising was to meet people who believe sincerely and play by the rules. We worked with one alcohol company, and they impressed me that they are real, without cynicism. They did play in democracy within the company, they have a true democracy. They did not agree with my opinion and decided to arrange a survey (well, it is all right, many people do), but in the end they took their opinion. Because another manager, even the closest colleagues, too, should be wondering.

In the last couple of months, I found surprisingly professional and honest people. This and contractors, who suddenly find themselves legally responsible, do not try to squeeze all the juice out of you, they have in the office and warehouse order, they love their director. And the director - a clever and enthusiastic person who loves his job and staff. And this is for real. It Customers who do not bustle and honestly tell us what is the budget, what we have chances to bid, how to build relationships with financial service. This variety of people who keep their promises on time and do it easily, without strain.

Good feeling. Less cynical, more persuasion. Probably, it is called - a civilized market.
